Raymond James Reels in $1.9M UBS Team

Raymond James & Associates has pulled in two advisors from UBS, where the duo generated annual fees and commissions of about $1.9 million.

Matthew Rogers and Mark Christopher Norton signed on with the regional broker-dealer at its Portland, Maine-based offices. The team operates as Rogers Norton Wealth Management Group of Raymond James. Also joining the team from UBS is Adele Jacque, senior registered sales associate.

While at UBS, the team managed more than $200 million in client assets.

Rogers has more than 20 years of experience in the securities industry. He started his career at Fidelity in 1991 before signing on as a financial advisor at Prudential's New York offices, according to a statement announcing the deal. He spent 13 years at UBS, according to FINRA records.

Norton signed on with UBS in Portland in 2006, where he worked as a branch analyst, vice president and senior portfolio manager. He has 12 years of financial service experience, according to the statement.

The team will focus on "managing family endowments and developing customized multigenerational financial plans," according to the statement.

Earlier this month, Raymond James named Matt Ransom its new vice president of advisor training. The regional broker-dealer also picked up an advisor duo with $200 million in AUM from Wells Fargo on July 21.
