Advisors are increasingly using AI tools to streamline workflows and grow their businesses. More than half (54%) of asset managers say they currently use or plan to use AI within the next year for their advisor segmentation strategy, according to a new Cerulli Report.

"AI is here, and it will shape the future of our industry. A firm understanding of AI, and how to implement it in your business, will be essential to your future success," said Joel Bruckenstein, producer of the Technology Tools for Today (T3) Conference.

Bruckenstein is among more than 25 powerhouse speakers who will be presenting at Financial Planning's first conference solely dedicated to AI tools for advisors, ADVISE AI, Oct. 9-10 in Las Vegas. More than 400 industry leaders will also be attending with the goal of empowering advisors through useful AI tools.

"We're bringing together the best and brightest minds in the world of AI and wealth management with an agenda that will offer insights for everyone, whether you're an AI veteran or looking to understand more about the transformative technology out there," said Brian Wallheimer, editor-in-chief of Financial Planning. "And this is practical knowledge. We want every attendee to leave Las Vegas with an idea, a tool or a contact that will help them meet the needs of their businesses and clients."

Here's a quick run-down on what to expect at ADVISE AI:

AI innovator recognition

Financial Planning has launched the 2024 Innovation Awards to honor some of the most innovative AI-powered technologies for both tech and wealth management firms.

Nine awards will be handed out for AI innovations in areas such as marketing, client engagement and onboarding, and customized portfolio management.

Those awards will be announced prior to the event, but two winners of Innovator of the Year awards will be named live at ADVISE AI.

Big players in the tech and AI space

ADVISE AI will have a wide range of speakers, including Andrew Altfest, CFP and founder of FP Alpha; Dani Fava, chief strategy officer at the Carson Group; Sindhu Joseph, CEO and founder of CogniCor Technologies; Brooke Juniper, CEO of TIFIN's Sage; and Michael Kitces, who dubs himself the chief financial planning nerd.

"I plan to have a conversation with my panelists about the current state of AI in the advisor space and what is in store for the next 12 to 24 months," Bruckenstein said. "What are the largest opportunities? What to watch out for? What vendors are making an impact?"

The conference will open with Charles Morris, chief data scientist of financial services from Microsoft, who will discuss the broad implications of AI in our world.

Access to companies creating cutting-edge AI technology

Hear about the latest developments from leaders of major tech providers like Orion, CogniCor, Jump, Salesforce, TradePMR, YouStake and Zocks Communication.

There is also ample time to explore the exhibit hall and network with peers or connect with AI tech providers.

Learn exactly how to apply AI in everyday workflows

To cut through the hype on AI, a majority of the panels focus on how advisors can actually use AI for work functions.

This includes how AI is being used to save time by streamlining back-office client onboarding processes, faster document analysis and marketing to prospects to help generate client growth.

The in-depth agenda can be found here.

Attendees will be in the heart of Las Vegas

ADVISE AI will be held at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.

In addition to events and networking time in the hotel and conference center, attendees are only steps from Vegas' premiere attractions. Golf, take in a show or simply enjoy the lights in the other city that never sleeps.
