Bank Reps on the Move
For bank reps looking to advance their careers, there’s no better news than a promotion or a job offer that’s too good to refuse. Here’s a sampling of bank reps who were either promoted or moved to new institutions to assume roles of greater responsibility from Jan. 11 to Jan. 24 of this year.
Timothy Barker, BNY Mellon Wealth Management
Timothy Barker joined BNY Mellon Wealth Managements team of advisors to ultra high-net-worth families and family offices. He was formerly a senior managing director of Family Wealth Advisors for First Republic Wealth Advisors, where he advised client portfolios of over $500 million. Barker is based in New York.
Andy Paterson, BNY Mellon Wealth Management
Andy Paterson, a managing director of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, was promoted to president for the firms central region. In his new role, Paterson is responsible for all portfolio management, banking and new business development in the central region, which includes Western Pennsylvania and Ohio. The 11-year veteran of BNY Mellon is based in Pittsburgh.
Alexi Giannoulias, BNY Mellon Wealth Management
Alexi Giannoulias, the former treasurer of Illinois, joined BNY Mellon Wealth Management to oversee business development for the Chicago office. In his role as senior advisor, Giannoulias is also responsible for strengthening the companys client relationships with government entities across the U.S.
Mike Collins, Fifth Third Securities
Mike Collins, a 15-year veteran of Fifth Third Securities, a subsidiary of Fifth Third Bank, was promoted to area investment manager for the banks Northern Cincinnati and Western Ohio region. He is responsible for overseeing a team of investment and insurance professionals. Fifth Third Securities is a unit within Fifth Third Banks Investment Advisors division.
Stephen Sherline, Union Bank
Stephen Sherline, the former managing director of investments for Fifth Third Bank, has joined Union Bank as the Los Angeles regional managing director of The Private Bank, part of Unions wealth management group. Sherline oversees all facets of wealth management for multiple locations in the Los Angeles area. He is based in Beverly Hills.
Chris Merrywell, Union Bank
Chris Merrywell was promoted to regional managing director of The Private Bank, part of Union Banks wealth management group. He is responsible for overseeing offices in Washington and Oregon and is based in Seattle.
Joe E. Sweet, II, Union Bank
Joe E. Sweet, II, was promoted to regional managing director of The Private Bank, part of Union Banks wealth management group. He is responsible for overseeing offices in Southern California and is based in Irvine. Prior to joining Union Bank in 2001, Sweet spent 27 years with Bank of America in management positions in corporate banking and wealth management.
