“Any artists want to take a crack at redoing Tony’s pyramid, let’s see it,” tweeted Josh Brown, the CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, along with a back-of-envelope drawing of a retirement pyramid created by his colleague Tony Isola.
The challenge
Tony Isola sketched his retirement pyramid after reading a Wall Street Journal column by Benjamin Harris based on a paper in The Journal of Retirement. “Imagine if Americans had a retirement pyramid on their refrigerator,” wrote Isola in his personal blog, A Teachable Moment. “We would all be wealthier and healthier.”
The advisor also suggested someone else take a crack at his depiction. “I am certain there are more artistic types out there who could design a better layout. God knows the penmanship could stand some improvement.”
