A financial advisor left Wells Fargo Advisors to join regional brokerage firm BB&T Scott & Stringfellow, adding to the firm's list of recent wirehouse additions.
Advisor Rick Class joined BB&T Scott & Stringfellow in Greensboro, N.C. He has 21 years of experience in financial services, according to the firm. Class earned his Series 7 in 2008, according to FINRA records. Class, a CFP, had been with Wells Fargo Advisors since 2010.
Richmond, Va.-based BB&T has more than 250 financial advisors operating from 44 offices in the Southeast.
In October, the firm recruited two advisors from Merrill Lynch to open an office in Lexington, Ky. Advisor Ski Bender started his advisory career in 1997, according to FINRA records. Bender had been at Merrill since 2007. Fellow advisor Matt Burlew had worked at the wirehouse since 2012.
Last month, BB&T added two more wirehouse advisors to the Lexington office. Before joining the regional firm, advisors T. Logan Davis and J. Tyson Davis had been with Wells Fargo Advisors, and its predecessor firm A.G. Edwards, since 2001.
"The state of Kentucky is a huge opportunity for our firm to align with our partners at BB&T to offer clients a comprehensive platform of investment services," David Houchins, a BB&T private client group senior managing director said in a statement.
