Webster Private Bank Names Chief Investment Strategist

Webster Bank has filled a critical role in the build-out of its wealth management business. It has named a native of Belgium chief investment strategist of Webster Private Bank.

Yves Cochez will manage the private bank’s portfolio management team and set the overall direction of investment management for high-net-worth clients, the bank announced Thursday.

Cochez, who will be based in Stamford, Conn., joins the bank from financial investment advisory firm GBS Finance, where he was a partner and served as chief investment officer. Prior to that, he held a number of senior investment positions across the globe with Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management.

“Yves brings two decades of global investment management experience to our strong and growing private bank team,” Dan FitzPatrick, executive vice president and head of Webster Private Bank, said in a statement.

Webster Private Bank provides banking, investment management, financial planning and fiduciary services to individuals, business owners and institutions with at least $1 million in investable assets.
