Most wealth managers know about artificial intelligence, but not necessarily how it can be implemented in a useful way — and with a safe integration — into their practices.

That's why Financial Planning and its parent company, Arizent, are launching ADVISE AI, a first-of-its-kind conference that will bring artificial intelligence in wealth management to life. To ensure a robust agenda, FP has gathered an advisory council of some of the most important players in the wealthtech and AI fields. Registration opens today for the conference, which will be Oct. 9-10 in Las Vegas.

"In an industry that seems to be always grappling with some sort of change, AI has shown it has the capability to dynamically and rapidly transform wealth management," said Brian Wallheimer, Financial Planning's editor-in-chief. "Our mission at FP has long been to give our readers the resources they need to best serve their clients and grow their careers. We're making sure we're the knowledge hub they can turn to when they need to know how cutting-edge technology like AI will affect their practices."

While there are many conferences on technology or wealth management more broadly, the two-day event is dedicated to showing how AI can be leveraged to streamline operations and build customer relationships — without running into regulatory or compliance snags.

"There's a lot of noise and a lot of confusion" around AI, and "a lot of folks don't know where to start, or what's already proven and ready to implement," said advisory council member Brooke Juniper, CEO of TIFIN's Sage, an AI-powered investment platform for advisors. "My hope would be that attendees walk away with some ideas of how they can actually begin to implement AI within their practices to deliver efficiency and growth."

The council includes industry leaders who touch on all aspects of wealth management and AI, from AI tech developers and strategists, to founders of RIAs and innovation leaders at various wealth management firms.

"Embracing the transformative potential of AI in wealth management, the ADVISE AI conference will lead the way in fostering responsible AI integration," said Dani Fava, an advisory council member and former head of product innovation at Envestnet. "Attendees will have access to invaluable insights into emerging use cases and tangible ideas to empower them in leveraging AI to scale their services and cater to the diverse needs of their clients."

The planned sessions span from different ways to integrate AI, whether it's consumer-facing or scaling internal systems, to compliance and regulatory solutions. There will also be demonstrations and case studies to give attendees real-life examples of AI in use throughout the industry and the promise the new technology holds.

Conference attendees will also hear from Michael Kitces, the chief financial planning nerd at Kitces.com, in a keynote address.

"So much is happening around AI and its impact and uses in the wealth management industry.  It has really reached a level where it is critical to have educational events focused solely on this topic," said council co-chair Suzanne Siracuse, CEO of Suzanne Siracuse Consulting Services LLC, who also is consulting on the event.
