Two former co-heads of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Capital Markets Division have launched a new fixed income broker-dealer firm for the wealth management industry, SumRidge Partners LLC.
SumRidge was founded by Kevin Morano and Tom O’Brien in fall 2010. Both were previously members of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Management Committee.
Jersey City, N.J.-based SumRidge targets investment advisors, broker-dealers and retail debt capital market participants with services related to the fixed income markets. That includes portfolio review and construction, trade execution, market commentary and education. SumRidge specializes in trades $1 million and under including investment-grade corporate and municipal bonds and U.S. Treasury and government agency securities.
