Morgan Stanley recruits advisers with almost $900M in combined AUM

Morgan Stanley recruited five advisers who oversaw almost $900 million in combined client assets, according to a spokeswoman.

Adviser Sam Moshe joins Morgan from Merrill Lynch, where he had worked since joining the industry in 1993, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.

Moshe generated nearly $3 million in annual revenue and oversaw $290 million in client assets while at Merrill, according to Morgan Stanley.
He joins the wirehouse in Aventura, Fla., where he reports to Complex Manager Billy Van Scoyoc. Also joining Moshe at Morgan are client service associates Paul Saldana, Gilda Gallardo and Jessica Llorens.

Morgan also recruited several advisers from UBS. Craig Yates and John Dillon left the Swiss firm for Morgan Stanley earlier this month. They previously generated nearly $2 million in annual revenues and oversaw $219 million in client assets. Yates and Dillon work from Morgan's Mt. Laurel, N.J., office where they report to Rich Maratea, branch manager.

Dillon is rejoining Morgan, having started his career there in 1984, according to BrokerCheck records. In 2006, he left the firm to join UBS, where he met up with Yates.

Yates started his career with Merrill in 1999. He later work for Legg Mason and Smith Barney before joining UBS in 2009.

Adviser Geoffrey Paul also left UBS for Morgan. While at his previous employer, Paul generated nearly $3 million in annual revenues and oversaw $280 million in client assets.

Paul now works from Morgan's Beverly Hills, Calif., office where he reports to Bob Perry, complex manager.

Paul is an industry veteran having begun his career at Merrill in 1982, according to BrokerCheck records. He later worked for Bear Stearns before joining UBS in 2008.

Spokespersons for UBS and Merrill declined to comment.
