Fifth Third Promotes Two in Private Bank

John Augustine, chief investment strategist of Fifth Third Private Bank, has assumed the role of chief market strategist responsible for investment strategies and financial advice for all divisions of the private bank, the company announced Wednesday. Jeff Korzenik, the private bank’s director of regional portfolio management, will assume the position of chief investment strategist, the bank said in a statement.

“These changes enhance our leadership capabilities in investment advising and our ability to provide clients with strategic financial insights and analysis,” Phil McHugh, executive vice president and head of Fifth Third Private Bank, said in a statement.

Augustine and Korzenik joined Fifth Third Bank in 1998 and 2009, respectively. They each have more than 20 years of experience, Augustine in portfolio management and Korzenik in investment advising.

The promotions come two months after the appointment of Jeff Martin to a newly created position as director of wealth planning for Fifth Third Private Bank, which caters to high-net-worth individuals.

Fifth Third Bancorp is a diversified Cincinnati-based financial service company that operates 15 affiliates with 1,316 full-service banking centers. It has $117 billion in assets.
