Wealthtech consulting and services firm F2 Strategy now has a new president.

This week, the firm announced the addition of industry veteran Laura Korbel to its executive leadership team. As president, she will be responsible for F2's day-to-day business and "ensuring thoughtful and efficient growth while delivering industry-leading client outcomes," according to the firm.

Following the news that F2 Strategy was moving its corporate headquarters from California to the Chicagoland area, firm leaders said Korbel was recruited to help provide guidance during their next stage of growth.

Korbel, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently served as senior vice president at IT consulting firm Rightpoint. Her previous experience also includes leadership roles at Capco and Isobar U.S.

"We are thrilled to welcome Laura Korbel as President of F2 Strategy. Her exceptional leadership and strategic acumen will empower us to continue addressing the increasing market appetite for qualified technology strategy and implementation," Doug Fritz, CEO and co-founder of F2 Strategy, said in a statement. "Her appointment further solidifies our ability to extend our offerings and impact to a broader market while elevating the value we deliver."

"I'm excited to be a part of F2 Strategy's dynamic team. Their recent growth, even from an outsider's vantage point, has been truly remarkable," Korbel added. "I'm looking forward to applying my expertise, and immersing myself in day-to-day business, to help continue this strong momentum."

Following the acquisition of Oakbrook Solutions in June, F2 Strategy's team has now grown to more than 100 full-time employees who provide consulting and outsourced chief technology officer services to firms collectively managing more than $2.5 trillion in assets.

Founded in 2000 and based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Oakbrook caters to a diverse range of financial services clients such as banks, trust companies, RIAs, family offices, retirement plan providers and custodians.
