"We are excited about the wealth of experience she brings to the role, and we look forward to her leadership and vision as we continue to advance the financial planning profession."
Prior to establishing Summit Place Financial Advisors, Miller was a principal owner of investment management services firm Trevor Stewart Burton & Jacobsen. She began her career as an M&A analyst for The First Boston Corporation and then became an associate portfolio manager for Oppenheimer Mutual Funds.

Miller founded Summit Place in 2008 to focus on the financial needs of multigenerational families.

Miller currently serves on the alumni board of the Sphinx Society of the University of Pennsylvania, the external advisory board of New Jersey Institute of Technology and the editorial advisory board for wealth management journal Trusts & Estates.

She loved that her success could be easily measured by portfolio performance, but she soon developed a passion for using her financial expertise to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
"Shortly after I started managing portfolios for individuals and families, they started asking me other questions related to many of the planning issues that successful families face," she said. "They would share that their accountant or attorney had brought up a planning topic, but sent them to me for the next discussion. This is when I realized so many successful people are left to coordinate all their professionals by themselves in a quest for the best solutions.
"In 2008, I decided to launch a firm that could simplify the financial life of clients by managing and coordinating all their diverse and complex wealth needs."
The CFP board of directors elected Miller as chair-elect at its July 2023 meeting. Current chair-elect Matt Boersen will serve as CFP Board Chair in 2024, and Miller will take the reins 2025.
