BNY Mellon Wealth Management has snatched a portfolio management team leader from Merrill Lynch and named her to a new role directing manager research and monitoring.
Jasmine Yu will oversee manager research, the selection process and monitoring activities for the firm's Wealth Management Investments Group in New York. She reports to Patrick Crowe, national director of Investment Solutions.
While at Merrill Lynch, Yu served as head of Fixed Income Due Diligence, leading a team of analysts for four years. Prior to that, she was with CAIA Association, a non-profit dedicated to alternative investment education, for five years, according to her LinkedIn profile. Earlier in her career, she was a senior investment analyst with the Abu Dhabi Investment Council and a vice president of Manager Research at Franklin Templeton Investments.
"The versatility Jasmine brings to this role results from her substantial experience with multi-asset investment analysis, manager selection and due diligence," Crowe said in a statement. "Her previous work with a broad array of clients around the globe is an added asset to her new role."
