Ameriprise has hired its second team from Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network in the last month.
Bison Financial Group, led by CEO Dave Vorbeck and president and COO Steve Dunnuck, has $437 million in client assets under management. Based in Lafayette, Indiana, Vorbeck and Dunnuck both have more than 20 years of industry experience.
Vorbeck joined Wells Fargo with Dunnuck in 2008 after working at Commonwealth Financial for six years, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
“We set out to find something different than we had experienced at our last firm,” Vorbeck said in a statement. “After extensive due-diligence, we found Ameriprise to be a firm built around helping advisers provide a compelling client experience – and, in turn, grow their practices.”
Bison will be supported by Ameriprise senior franchise field vice president Patricia Moll.
Ameriprise recruited another team from Wells Fargo that managed $239 million in client assets at the beginning of May.
A spokeswoman for Wells Fargo declined to comment on the latest departure from the firm.
