Financial advisor Alex Chalekian on helping people understand money

In this clip, financial advisor Alex Chalekian of Lake Avenue Financial told Financial Planning Chief Correspondent Tobias Salinger how his family launched a financial education website called Futurvest that's designed as a low-cost service offering tutorials and technology tools to help people learn how to build wealth. 

The organizers of Future Proof donated scholarships enabling more than two dozen people to access the service at no cost, according to Chalekian, who noted that's one way advisors can get involved, too. The Chalekians also welcome collaborations on videos and programming on the website.

As an aside, Chalekian described how frequently bears visit the family's home in California and a session he led at the conference on the topic of leadership.
