An adviser team managing nearly $7 billion in assets for the Private Client Group at Wells Fargo Advisors has gone independent with Raymond James, the firm said.
Next Retirement Solutions, originally known as Neuner Retirement Services, focused on retirement consulting and planning, mostly for institutions while working for Wells. The firm says it also operated a retail practice. Its offices are located in California, Illinois and Missouri, with a focus on serving clients nationwide.
The team got its start providing customized retirement services through A.G. Edwards in 1994, prior to the firm's sale to Wachovia in 2007, according to Raymond James. Wachovia was acquired by Wells later that same year.
Next Retirement Solutions founder Paul Neuner, who currently serves as managing director, partner and financial adviser; says the move to Raymond James will allow his team better opportunity to meet their client companies’ unique needs.
The largest teams to go indie this year managed more than $5 billion in client assets.
"By partnering with Raymond James, we felt the environment was conducive to implement new ideas and better serve these important relationships," Neuner says. "We believe with the support provided by Raymond James we can not only add offices and team members, but also provide greater customization and depth and breadth of services to our clients."
Neuner started his institutional consulting career with A.G. Edwards in 1994, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
Kevin McFarland, the firm's senior vice president of finance and operations, also serves as an adviser and partner, according to the firm. McFarland has been with the team since 1999 when he launched his securities career as an accredited asset management and chartered retirement plans specialist, Raymond James says.
Other team members include Dominic Repetti, adviser, partner and SVP of relationship management; Neelab Naibkhyl, adviser and director, strategic development; Timothy Cronin, adviser and SVP of wealth management; as well as senior relationship managers and advisers Damon DeLillo and Michael Rozovics. Also making the move is Bob Ortbals, relationship manager and registered client associate; Denise Ruiz, operations manager and registered client associate; as well as Aryn LaFerrara, client service associate, the firm says.
