With artificial intelligence quickly transforming the ways in which financial advisors and wealth management firms do business, Financial Planning is recognizing outstanding work in the field. 

Our inaugural Innovation Awards honor tech firms that are developing cutting-edge technology for use in marketing, client onboarding, investment strategy, lead generation and specialized planning. Wealth management firms are recognized for their efforts in automation, marketing, client engagement and professional development.

Special Innovator of the Year awards will be bestowed on two of these firms at ADVISE AI, Financial Planning's AI conference Oct. 9-10 in Las Vegas. Registration for the event is open.

In a world in which firms of all sizes are clamoring for customers, making and keeping connections with clients is paramount. But when dealing with dozens or even hundreds of clients, the personalization of marketing material takes time.

At RBC, advisors can create touch points with clients at scale. 

RBC Wealth Management Campaign Central is a self-service platform for advisors and the corporate marketing team that helps generate dynamic marketing content and tracks engagement. 

Advisors can send personalized messages at scale to clients and prospects, and the platform includes the ability to schedule recurring messages. It can also help with soft-touch communications like sending clients happy birthday messages, wishing their book of business happy holidays and other indirect marketing touch points.

And this approach gets results. Since the firm partnered with Salesforce in 2021 to consolidate its CRM systems and launch this digital marketing tool, nearly 1,000 financial advisors have adopted it, representing 43% of the total advisor count. The email marketing channel has grown by nearly 3 million emails and averages a 55% engagement rate in terms of unique email opens, according to Campaign Monitor.
