A Merrill Lynch advisor team managing $800 million in assets has left for HighTower.
The Fort Myers, Fla.-based team joins the HighTower Parternship, the firm's employee channel model, and one of three options advisors have when affiliating with the company. The partnership model is the firm's oldest option.
The new recruits also represent the firm's fourth office in Florida.
The group is comprised of advisors Pamela Lynn Abraham, Jack Thomas, Trevor Swartz and Mathew Verrengia, as well as senior registered associate Benita Alstatt and client services associate Tiffany Likness.
Abraham, Thomas and Swartz joined HighTower as partners and will have an equity stake in their new employer.
Until last week, Abraham had been at Merrill for her entire 33-year career, according to FINRA records. Thomas started his advisory career at Merrill in 1994 while Swartz and Verrengia joined the wirehouse in 2000.
