
Four advisors that managed a combined $489 million in client assets left Wells Fargo to join Benjamin F. Edwards, the firm said.
In Rome, Ga., Benjamin Edwards picked up three advisors from the wirehouse: Bruce Hunter, Jimmy Smith and Scott Wood.
Hunter is an industry veteran, having started his career at A.G. Edwards in 1987, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.
Smith joined him at A.G. Edwards in 2002 while Wood joined the firm in 2005. They stayed with A.G. Edwards through that firm's merger with Wells Fargo.
Also moving with the team to Benjamin Edwards is Marsha Mayben and Lila Touchstone, senior registered financial associates.
In Canton, Ohio, veteran wirehouse advisor Michele Stuban-Peters joined Benjamin Edwards. Stuban-Peters started her career in 1981 with Prudential Securities.
Benjamin Edwards, founded in 2008, currently has 51 branch offices and more than 400 employees, the firm says.
